
Map #1 Lab 3. This map includes four different classifications of the same data. The four types used are: Natural Breaks, Equal Interval, Quartiles, and Optimal. Each application produces an output map which more or less emphasizes particular areas and is evident of local human and physical processes. The distribution across Idaho is most certainly geographic and significantly influenced by the landscape. Urban/sub-urban areas are clearly identifiable by location with low rates of home vacancies. The higher and more remote locations are absolutely regions with higher rates of home vacancies.
